Rodriguez and ensemble are famed performers throughout South America, and are presently on tour in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois, and Texas.. This is their second visit to the northern hemisphere, having enjoyed successful appearances in Canada in 2003.. The group has been featured in many major South American festivals: Baradero (Buenos Aires), Ramallo Pora (Buenos Aires), The National Chamame Festival (Corrientes), The Mburucuya Festival (Federal), and The National Chamame Festival (Federal). Rodriguez has also adjudicated at music festival competitions. He has composed more than 50 songs, poems, and accordion pieces. The group has recorded five CDs.

Rodriguez sings and plays his accordion as "The Voice of Corrientes." The province of Corrientes is at the epicenter of Chamame music from the river provinces of Argentina. Chamame has hundreds of years of history. It is a cultural fusion of music and traditions of the area’s native people, Spanish Creoles, and European immigrants. The traditional instruments included guitar and harp, but the latter was displaced by button accordions and bandonions in the 19th century. Nowadays, millions of people sing, dance, play, and listen to Chamame in Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay as well as Argentina.

"Ruben Rodriguez, a young Chamame musician, plays his accordion in the tradition of the master Tarrago Ros. But we can say without a doubt that he shines with his own light in the musical tradition of Corrientes, with a style adorned with aspects of his personality. In this way he succeeds in assembling interpretive force, with purity and drive. Moreover, he adds to his group subtle tenderness and grace…"
